We offer two minors: General Communication and Intercultural Communication.
General COMM Minor
The 18-hour Communication minor provides students with the opportunity to more fully explore the Communication discipline. In addition to two required foundational courses, students take 12 hours of COMM courses at the 3000 level or above. Students must earn at least a 2.0 in the minor to successfully complete it. You are strongly urged to meet with a CMJN advisor for help in course selection and scheduling. For more information, see the AU Bulletin General COMM Minor.
Intercultural COMM Minor
The 18-hour Intercultural Communication minor is an interdisciplinary minor designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the nature of communication and culture. It is open to all undergraduate students, with the exception of those majoring in programs housed within the School of Communication and Journalism. For more information, see the AU Bulletin Intercultural COMM Minor.
Intercultural Minor Approved Courses
NOTE: Students should declare their minor as early as possible. Those declaring the minor at the end of their junior year or during their senior year may be unable to complete the minor’s coursework prior to graduation. Students should meet with the minor’s advisor prior to declaring.
