Theatre & Dance tickets directly supporting student scholarships

On each opening night of the Department of Theatre & Dance’s 2025-2026 season, all tickets and donations will directly fund student scholarships.
“Wayfinding: In Search of Connection Along Divergent Paths” is curated as more than a collection of performances. The season hopes to reflect Auburn Theatre & Dance’s commitment to nurturing student artists and building community through creativity.
This season also marks the launch of the Scholarship Benefit Opening Nights initiative, where all ticket sales and donations from each opening night will go directly to student scholarships. Whether patrons attend or simply donate, their support helps Auburn students access life-changing educational and creative opportunities.
“This new scholarship effort is part of a larger departmental focus on providing a better educational path for success by ensuring more students have the opportunity to pursue their passions in theatre and dance without financial barriers,” said Department Chair Tessa Carr.
The first opportunity to support student scholarships by donating and buying a ticket will be during the season opener, a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s “As You Like It,” which runs Sept. 25-Oct. 5 at the Telfair B. Peet Theatre Mainstage.
“Wayfinding” will come to life through a series of stories about searching, shifting and self-discovery. From the romantic reinvention of “As You Like It” to the quiet introspection of “Small Mouth Sounds,” each production explores what it means to find your path.
Through movement in “Footprints,” revenge in “Sweeney Todd,” personal storytelling in “Body Maps” and identity crises in “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” audiences are invited to reflect on how we navigate life’s divergent roads and arrive at connection.
Season subscriptions and individual performance tickets are now on sale. Auburn students continue to enjoy FREE admission to all shows.
