Red Clay Brewing Company and Long Pine Hospitality in Opelika, Alabama, is looking for interns interested in learning all aspects of the public relations, marketing, and public administration fields. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn all areas from top to bottom and will complete this program ready to enter the workforce.
It's essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.
Responsibilities
· Monitor all forms of media working with our top notch PR and Social Media team.
· Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, and other special events.
· Assist in press releases and other materials
· Screen phone calls
· Assist with mailings and print production
· Assist with scheduling for management team
· Compile contact lists
· Search for press clippings
· Create or update databases
· Greet guests and clients
· You will have an opportunity to learn the brewing process as well as the multiple of beer, cider, and wine styles to better your understanding of our industry.
Requirements
· Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Public Administration major
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Solid understanding of social media
· Writing skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
