Learning a language in a cultural context has a multitude of benefits for individuals, communities, businesses, educators, government organizations, individuals with disabilities, travelers and language enthusiasts. These benefits include enhancing career prospects, improving cognitive abilities, increasing cultural awareness and empathy, promoting diversity and inclusivity, boosting local economies, facilitating international business ventures and partnerships, promoting international diplomacy, and enhancing personal growth and development.
The various language programs, such as exchange programs, internships, scholarships, study abroad and outreach programs, can provide individuals with opportunities for language immersion, authentic language use and cultural exchange.
Your support of the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures will provide students with valuable opportunities for language learning, cultural exchange and personal growth.
