2021-2022 Season

Season theme and info appearing as a book cover: "Glimmers in the Dark: Tales of Grit and Grace"

Once Upon a Time....

Fairytales have been passed down by countless generations as agents of fantastical adventures, as wells for the imagination, and as cautionary tales for curious young minds. Most of us journey toward adulthood in fits and starts, sometimes blazing toward a star, sometimes stumbling in the dark. Ultimately, many of the tales — and dreams — of our youth lose their magic as we come of age. After all, “adulting” is hard, and innocent illusions are easily shattered along the rocky path of enlightenment. Still, if we can find the grit to persevere, and the grace to accept ourselves and others with all of our messy and glorious humanity, we can reach unimagined destinations! Our 2021-22 season of theatre and dance explores our collective journey and the untapped potential within each of us. Sometimes it helps to remember the fairytale…to seek hope…and to look for glimmers in the dark.
