The public professional's goal is the effective delivery of services that enrich and enable communities from all walks of life. Huang describes himself as an urbanist with a passion for developing walkable and sustainable neighborhoods. As a city planner, he is a firm believer in prioritizing community health, efficiency, and equity. Projects that he has worked on include a pedestrian plan for Prattville, AL, a neighborhood plan for Madison, WI, and a walkability plan for Opelika, AL. With a bachelor's degree in Business English, but a love to challenge the unknown, Huang started a master's degree in a different subject area to gain design skills. During her two years at Auburn, she has excelled in GIS and quantitative methods classes, and also developed skills to become an outstanding planner. With the belief that K–12 education can drive regional economic development, she interned with Veritas Collegiate Academy in Fairfax, Virginia as an economic development consultant where she used GIS skills for the selection of a new school area. James is a Spring 2018 MCP graduate and very goal-oriented. His short-term objective is to find a challenging entry level position in a local government organization. His long-term objective focuses on a strong career in local government, effectively working towards the platinum rule taught to him by his mentors, "Treat others the way they want to be treated." Effective community planning has the power to transform communities with thriving citizens, successful businesses and beautiful environments. Vo will be a December 2018 MCP graduate of Auburn University. She holds a Bachelor of Finance and Banking from Vietnam and worked for 2 years at the Bank and the Prudential Insurance Company in Vietnam. She is open-minded, flexible, creative and responsible, working well under pressure, as noted by her many awards from her employer.
