Auburn Political Science honor society receives Best Chapter Award
Auburn University’s Epsilon Nu chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, has been nationally recognized with a Best Chapter Award for 2024-2025.
Auburn’s Pi Sigma Alpha chapter, led by Political Science Senior Lecturer Matthew Clary, is recognized for its engagement with the university and its surrounding communities, as well as “embodying the honor society’s mission to stimulate scholarship and intellectual interest in political science.”
The national honor society specifically recognized the Auburn chapter’s “achievements in student professionalization, student research and in working with the city of Auburn to improve pedestrian safety.” Clary, the faculty advisor for Auburn’s chapter, was recognized for extraordinary leadership and dedication to students.
Auburn University is one of only six chapters from more than 830 Pi Sigma Alpha chapters nationwide to receive a Best Chapter Award for the past academic year.
Best Chapter winners will receive $500 for the chapter, as well as $200 for advisors who demonstrate outstanding service. Winners will also be featured in the American Political Science Association’s magazine, Political Science Today.
