Lori McLean earned her BA in Psychology from Auburn University in 1994 and her MS in Counseling Psychology from Troy University in 1997.  Lori has over 10 years of experience in academic advising, seven of those years here at AU.  In addition to her advising responsibilities, Lori is the coordinator of the School of Communication and Journalism Learning Community.  Lori and her husband Mac ’96 are the proud parents of three boys Brett, Lance and Griffin. Lori advises Public Relations pre-majors and majors and all School minors.

Letitia Gulley-Smith earned her MS in General Counseling and her BS in Computer Information Systems from Alabama State University. She joined the Advising Team in 2017 and has more than 11 years’ experience in higher education. Letitia advises Journalism and Media Studies pre-majors and majors.

Sarah Henry earned her BA in Public Relations from Auburn University. She joined the CLA advising team in 2017 and has 7 years worth of experience in working with students in a higher education setting. She is a member of the AU Advisors and Counselors Council as well as the National Academic Advising Association. Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, Neal, and their two daughters, Paige and Peyton. Sarah advises Communication pre-majors and majors.

They are listed in alphabetical order in the AU Bulletin Course Descriptions.

I want to change my major to Communication, Journalism, Media Studies or Public Relations.

You are encouraged to declare your intentions to your assigned College of Liberal Arts advisor. Communication, Journalism, Public Relations and Media Studies are application majors. Students are considered pre-majors until accepted into one of the four programs.

How do I apply to the major?
