THE URBAN SCALE:

The city of Mobile, Al is the rainiest city in the country. This project presented the sustainability challenges of dealing with rain water on site as well as handling the numerous programs that needed to be accommodated on the site. The cities low sky line created a height limit, and its rich culture and monumental buildings gave the project a lot to consider when deciding materials, systems and the key features. This project demonstrates a broad scope of creative approaches required for the successful design of a large building in an urban setting.
