The Squirrels

The Squirrels

By Robert Askins
Directed by Abdul-Khaliq Murtadha

High in the branches of a divided tree, survival demands more than instinct; it calls for pluck and unyielding determination. As one squirrel family hoards its wealth while others struggle against hunger, unlikely challengers rise with daring resolve, refusing to accept a world built on imbalance and fear. What begins as a scramble for food sharpens into a biting, darkly comic exploration of greed, power, and the courage it takes to defy the status quo. With wit as sharp as its claws and stakes that feel all too human, The Squirrels reveals the audacity required to fight for equity, and the resilience needed to hold onto hope when the odds are stacked against you.

The Squirrels is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service Collection (www.dramatists.com
