AU Health and Hospital Administration Organization (HHAO)

The Health and Hospital Administration Organization (HHAO) is affiliated with the Auburn University Health Services Administration program (HADM) in the Department of Political Science. HHAO is a student-led group consisting of students from classes enrolled in a variety of curriculums including Health Services Administration. HHAO meets monthly to network with and listen to guest speakers discuss various topics related to Health Services Administration. Guest speakers are leading professionals in their field and discuss topics such as:

hospital management, patient experience, medical practice management, human resource management, provider credentialing, public health, long-term care administration, information technologies, quality assurance and lean process improvement, finance, internships, and how to get a job/preparing resumes.

The purpose of this organization is be to provide career guidelines for persons interested in the field of healthcare administration, to enable such persons to learn more about healthcare, and to advance the knowledge of healthcare professions. 

HHAO also promotes opportunities for students to attend professional association meetings at the local, state and national level.

The organization also hosts an annual end-of-the-year event for all HADM majors and faculty. This event features a distinguished panel of healthcare leaders and an awards ceremony to recognize student accomplishments.

HHAO charges membership dues set by the HHAO officers. Meetings are held at 6:00pm on the last Monday of each month.
