Scholarships and awards available to health services administration majors include:
Health Administration Scholarship: This scholarship is given each year to a junior in HADM who has at least a 3.0 cumulative average GPA, and who will not be receiving any other University scholarship aid during the academic year of the HA Scholarship Award.
The Mark Burns – Health Administration Alumni Organization Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded each year to a junior or senior who has a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, exhibits a financial need, and is a declared Health Administration major. Other criteria include involvement in health administration activities and evidence of leadership.
Vance and Julie Chunn Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded annually to one or more students who have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, exhibit a financial need, and have been accepted into the Health Services Administration major.
Allan and Faye Gazaway and Susan Gazaway D’Antoni Health Administration Leadership Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior student who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, exhibits financial need, and has been accepted into the Health Services Administration major. Preference is given to applicants who are first-generation college attendees and are residents of the state of Alabama.
MGMA Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to a current HADM major who has at least a 3.0 HADM cumulative GPA and is interested in pursuing a career in clinic management. Recipients of the MGMA scholarship must complete their internship at an approved clinic site or physician practice.
Pierce and Becky Miller Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded annually to one or more students who have a minimum GPA of a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, exhibit financial need, and have been accepted into the Health Services Administration major. Preference is given to students who are residents of the state of Georgia.
