CMDCAH accepting nominations for Visiting Scholars Program

CMDCAH invites academic departments and units in the College of Liberal Arts to nominate scholars, writers, artists, distinguished alumni, and other guests in the arts and humanities to serve as week-long residents for class visits, public programs, research and grant collaborations, and other official university business. Guests should be in residence for at least three nights.
Preference will be given to proposals with an emphasis in digital arts and humanities projects/exhibits/scholarship.
If an application from a department is chosen, CMDCAH will provide:
- $3,000 fee/stipend to the guest via Professional Services Contract (PSC)
- Complimentary lodging in the Lowrey Guest House at Pebble Hill
- Coordination of vendor registration and contract execution
Note: Departmental funds may be added to increase the total amount of the contract.
The faculty coordinator of the residency will provide:
- Facilitation of class visits, public programs, and other duties of the resident
- Transportation for the resident to campus and other Auburn locations
The resident will provide:
- Transportation to and from Auburn
- Meals and other incidentals while in residence
The following 3 weeks are available for a residency during the 2026 spring semester:
- February 1-6
- March 1-6
- March 29 – April 3
Application Process: Complete the smart sheet application, which includes brief description of proposed resident credentials and duties for the week. Department chairs must be briefed on the application before submission; applicants will be required to verify within the application that the department chair has been briefed.
