We offer four minors: creative writing, English, linguistics, and technical and professional communication. You must earn a C or better in all minor courses. All minors require 15 credit hours.
English majors may declare an English minor, providing the emphasis is different from that followed for the major.
English courses used to fulfill the University Core Curriculum may not be counted toward a minor, nor can English courses required by your major.
Note: some English courses come with prerequisites.
To formally declare one of our minors, complete the minor application form.
