Greetings from the Auburn English Department!
Here in English, we like to say that our degrees lead everywhere through our three tracks of literature, creative writing, and public and professional writing. Our B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. alumni include an Academy Award winner, university professors, lawyers, editors, teachers, and New York Times bestselling writers. Dedicated to teaching and producing scholarly and creative work, our faculty has a robust tradition of teaching Auburn students to read and write critically in the core and in our major. Faculty publications range from New York Times bestsellers to creative and scholarly monographs with university presses such as Virginia, Georgia, SUNY, LSU, Syracuse, Northwestern and more. The skills we teach in English are coveted by employers.
