Overview: The Office of Congressman Barry Moore, is seeking college students and graduates to apply to intern in our congressional offices located in Washington D.C.  You will have the chance to learn firsthand how Congress operates while gaining valuable skills and important networking opportunities, and my offices are eager to find highly motivated individuals who are ready to serve their community! As an intern, you will learn about the legislative process, assist in constituent services, and get hands on experiences working in communications. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in public service, politics, or communications.

Congressman Moore represents Alabama’s First Congressional District. As an Auburn University Alum, he is passionate about the Auburn community and raising young leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform research.
  • Attend committee meetings, briefings, and seminars.
  • Perform data entry, which involves logging in letters and constituent requests.
  • Support the Staff Assistant with communicating with constituents on their DC visitor requests.
  • Support the Communications team by creating graphics and creative projects.
  • Oversee front office operations by welcoming meeting groups and constituents.
  • Lead constituent tours of the Capitol.
