People find art about humanity interesting because they relate to it and discover something about themselves. Sharing moments that make us people and make us alive is important because they are the moments that connect us and bring us together. Young strives to not only capture the representational form of the subject, but also the intimate and intangible feelings that make us human beings. Expressing a moment that people relate to is an important part of the work, the connection bringing an insight and new understanding of what it means to be ourselves.
