Tickets on sale for 2026-2027 Theatre & Dance season, opening nights to support scholarship fund
The Auburn University Department of Theatre & Dance is proud to announce its 2026–27 season, themed “DARE to be fearless and true.” Just as every theatre student who steps onto a stage encounters the unknown, the department hopes you experience the thrill of discovery with an eclectic and enchanting season.
After raising close to $10,000 last year, this season continues the Scholarship Benefit Opening Nights initiative, where all ticket sales and donations from each opening night directly support student scholarships. Whether patrons attend or simply donate, their support helps Auburn students access life-changing educational and creative opportunities.
The scholarship effort is part of a larger departmental focus on providing a better educational path for success by ensuring more students can pursue their passions in theatre and dance without financial barriers.
“DARE” is filled with stories of daring and truths that are revealed when each dare is accepted, from daring to go the distance with “Men on Boats” and daring to risk your neck of “The Revolutionists” to daring to take the plunge with “Ride the Cyclone,” daring to reach for the stars with “42nd Street” and daring to crack open the system with “The Squirrels.” Audiences are invited to find their “AUdacious” spirit and to DARE to be fearless and true with the Department of Theatre & Dance this season.
Season subscriptions and individual performance tickets are now on sale. Auburn students continue to enjoy FREE admission to all shows.
