Local party members discussing platforms, presidential election at Pebble Hill
Lee County Democratic Party Chairman Jamie Lowe and local Republican Party member and community leader Todd Rauch will discuss party platforms on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at Pebble Hill in Auburn.
Mark Wilson, director of the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities, will facilitate discussion, which will include the topics of immigration/border security, abortion/reproductive rights, the economy and America’s role in the world.
The League of Women Voters of East Alabama will also attend and provide information related to voting dates and deadlines.
Following the discussion, attendees will have a chance to meet speakers during a reception with light refreshments.
The event is co-sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Auburn University.
