Serving his country: Brian Pultro's 9/11 story

On the night of Sept. 11, 2001, Brian Pultro joined the Navy. He completed Auburn’s ROTC program, earned a political science degree and went on to serve for 11 years. During his decade of active duty service, he was deployed twice to the Persian Gulf and once to Southeast Asia. Pultro later served at the United States Central Command Headquarters and as an instructor at Officer Training Command, where he was promoted to the rank of Commander.

Today, Pultro owns Pultro Financial Management with his uncle Michael. He said after leaving his military career, his liberal arts education opened doors to different opportunities and helped him navigate a new season of life. As chair of the Auburn Young Alumni Council Executive Committee, Pultro helps other students find their path.
