Career Trek and Bootcamp

The Career Treks initiative allows Auburn CLA students to visit various companies in order to gain insight into career fields of interest. These immersive experiences provide behind the scenes opportunities for students to engage with professionals in the workplace, learn about various career paths, meet with AU CLA alumni, and familiarize themselves with the daily routines of prospective positions.

These visits are typically a two-hour introduction to each company’s culture and employment opportunities in our surrounding areas. All students who attend a Career Trek are required to be members of the CLA Career Communities and abide by the established guidelines for the visits prior to participating.

Additionally, students who sign up for the Career Treks will receive an invitation to meet beforehand to learn how to best prepare for the meetings, as well as for resume guidance. At these “Bootcamp” sessions, students will be able to leave with copies of their resume printed on quality, professional paper.

Due to a higher than expected number of attendee signups for the first Career Trek, we strongly encourage all students to register for these events in advance, although once you rsvp for the Trek and if you don’t show up, there will be fees incurred.
