Celebrate and Support the MPA Program

Join us as the MPA program celebrates 40 years of educating and graduating professional public servants. Faculty and alumni have established an endowed graduate award to honor the MPA's first director, Professor Emeritus Robert Montjoy. Dr. Montjoy led the founding of a high-quality, community-oriented program that ranks at the top in the state of Alabama. The MPA program currently employs eight faculty and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration.

Robert Montjoy

During his 15-year tenure as MPA director, Dr. Montjoy continuously supported students through teaching, recruiting, advising and managing internships. Today, our graduates represent Auburn's quality locally, in the Southeast, around the country and across the world.

Support the Montjoy Scholars

Our goal is to raise funds for five graduate awards, creating a cadre of the best and brightest of Auburn's MPA program, honoring Dr. Montjoy's commitment to service.

Montjoy Scholars are chosen based on merit and dedication to public service and receive a stipend to support the costs of materials and their education.

Join us in being a founding contributor to the endowment to support students who have chosen public service as a profession.

2025 Gordon Sherman Lecture Series

Dr. Montjoy will be the featured speaker at the Gordon Sherman Lecture in Public Administration. His talk, "Reflections on Public Service," will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 5–7 p.m. at the ALFA Pavilion at Ag Heritage Park, 620 S. Donahue Drive, Auburn, AL.
