Student media bring home awards from national convention

Many College of Liberal Arts students work in Auburn University Student Media. They dedicate much of their time as editors, reporters, photographers, writers, and designers. Recently, their diligence was recognized with several awards by the College Media Association and the Associated Collegiate Press at the National College Media Convention in Washington, D.C. 

The following students were recognized by the Associated Collegiate Press and received Pacemaker Awards:
 The Auburn Plainsman – winner, Newspaper Pacemaker
Lily Jackson and Nathan King, The Plainsman – winner, Newspaper Inside Page/Spread design
Eduardo Medina, The Plainsman – winner, In-Depth News Story
Tyler Roush, The Plainsman – second place, Sports Game Story
Jessica King, The Glomerata – second place, Environmental Portrait Photo
Nathan King, The Plainsman – third place, Sports Feature Story
The Auburn Plainsman – finalist, Online Pacemaker
The Auburn Circle – finalist, Literary/Arts Magazine
 
The following students received College Media Association Pinnacle Awards: 
 
Eduardo Medina, The Plainsman  – first place, Best Feature Story
Eduardo Medina, The Plainsman – first place, Best Investigative Story
The Auburn Plainsman – third place, Four-Year Weekly Newspaper of the Year
Nathan King, The Plainsman – honorable mention, Best Sports Feature
