Which class has been your favorite at Auburn so far?
My favorite class at Auburn thus far was Introduction to Biology my freshman year. Although biology has never been my favorite subject, I absolutely loved my professor. Professor Kearley made each day of class interesting and always went the extra mile to make sure we understood the material. Even if that meant hosting a donut study session in the library on nights before exams. Introduction to Biology with Professor Kearley is a must take class.

What is the best technology based resource at Auburn?
There are so many great technology based resources at Auburn, but one of my favorite tools that Auburn has is the “Map” section on their phone app. I used this tool during my first semester here at Auburn to help me find buildings on campus. Truthfully, this is a tool that I continue to use each time I need to go to a building that I have never been to before.

What do you wish someone had told you before you started as a student at Auburn?
I wish that someone told me to take better advantage of “O-Day’s” on the concourse. O-Day’s are where many of Auburn’s organizations set up on the concourse and students can learn more about each organizations purpose. Most students are overwhelmed by how busy the concourse is on these days, and try their best to stay away from the concourse. I learned that if you take advantage of the opportunity you can find that there are many organizations that you never knew of before and there may even be one that you are truly interested in joining.

Where are your favorite places to study on campus?
I love studying on Auburn’s campus in the rocking chairs outside of Cater Hall. During the fall, it is a great place to study because it is one of the more quiet places on campus and it feels so nice outside during this time.

How do you balance your social and academic obligations?
Finding a balance between academic obligations and social life is not an easy task in college. The best way that I have found a balance is by really learning to take advantage of my time. I have realized that there is a lot of work that one can accomplish in even just fifteen minutes. Taking fifteen minutes in between classes or using fifteen minutes of time before going to dinner with friends can really help you ensure that your school work is done while also being able to maintain a social life.
