Auburn University Theatre presents 'Bring It On The Musical'
Auburn University Theatre invites you to experience the fierce rivalries, potent politics, and high drama of the cutthroat world of competitive high school cheerleading with "Bring It On The Musical," opening on Feb. 13th, on the Telfair Peet Theatre Mainstage. "Bring It On The Musical" is directed by Dan LaRocque and continues until Feb. 23rd.
Featuring the music and lyrics of Lin-Manuel Miranda, "Bring It On The Musical" follows the story of cheerleading captain Campbell Davis, whose life gets turned upset down once she transfers to Jackson High School. Leaving her team, accomplishments, and comfort zone behind, Campbell struggles to make new friends and turn her dreams into a reality.
With a bit of snark and a whole lot of heart, "Bring It On The Musical" speaks to the power of community and the ability of performance, athletic and otherwise, to bring people together. This musical “inspires optimism even in the face of our human shortcomings and differences” says LaRocque.
The artistic team for "Bring It On The Muscial" includes direction by Dan LaRocque, with guest artists Travis McHale as scenic and lighting designer, Emmie Tuttle as costume designer, and Anthony Narciso as sound designer. The cast includes: Whitley Adams, Nikki Ahlf, Ashleigh Avallone, McKenna Barlow, Jazmyn Boiteux, Camryn Chapman, Bobby Coe, Antonavia Collins, Antonisia Collins, Sarah Beth Cumella, Jordan Denson, Jonathon Dickey, Ashley Digiovanni, Allison Dixon, Will-Franklin Eller, Salem Gaddis, Sydney Golden, Emma Herbert, Hope Keys, Grant Lackey, Zac Moss, Maddie Maradik, Holden Mathison, Luke Sexton, Ebony Strong, Moira Thompson, Jenna Viana, Tyler Ward, and Olivia Zeagler.
The run time for "Bring It On The Musical" is two hours with a fifteen minute intermission.
