Liberal Arts Young Alumni Council accepting applications through July 8

Young Alumni Council

The College of Liberal Arts is currently accepting applications for its new Young Alumni Council. 

The CLA Young Alumni Council advances, advocates for and supports the student experience. By encouraging communication and engaging with our young alumni, the council will create a culture of giving and assist with the College's advancement efforts that support its strategic initiatives. 

Members will serve the college in a variety of ways, including:

  • Plan and/or participate in events that promote the value of a liberal arts education.
  • Serve as guest speakers and mentors, provide support and encourage students to stay involved after graduation.
  • Create an active network of CLA graduates around the country.
  • Participate in social media efforts to advocate for the College.
  • Create a culture of giving by encouraging young alumni to support college initiatives.
  • Participate in various fundraising efforts.

Candidates must be under 40 years of age and have a minimum of two years professional experience by the beginning of their term, which begins August 1, 2024.

Members are appointed by the Dean and serve two-year renewable terms. Council members may serve no more than three consecutive two-year terms.
