Faculty Guitarist Ikner to Perform on Monday, October 19
Department of Music presents faculty member Joseph Ikner, guitar, in a recital on Monday, October 19 at 7:30 pm in Goodwin Recital Hall. His program will include repertoire from the Renaissance, from Japan, from Spain, and from Latin America.
As an active soloist and chamber musician, Joseph engages a variety of audiences with an energetic, thoughtful and entertaining program of diverse repertoire for the guitar. Dr. Elliot Frank of East Carolina University states, “Joseph Ikner plays with a beautiful and rich tone, one possessed by very few guitarists. One of the finest young guitarists of his generation.” Joseph’s debut recording, Premiere, has been featured on public radio and is available on itunes.com and CDBaby.com.
Advanced tickets are available online for all patrons (students and non-students) at $10 per ticket, available until the day of the event. Patrons will need to bring one form of ID to pick up their ticket from the will-call table set up one hour before the event begins. The name on the ID must match the name on the order. If advanced tickets are not picked up by fifteen minutes prior to the event, the patron forfeits their right to a seat. Regular tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students and children, and will be sold at the door one hour prior to performance time.
