Andy Martin is a professional percussionist and arranger in the southeast with nearly two decades of performing with various bands, professional orchestras, musical theaters, worship teams, jazz combos, and community and chamber ensembles. A graduate of The University of Alabama, Andy has also studied at Berklee College of Music and New York University. For more than a decade, Andy performed at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, where some of his favorite productions include West Side Story, Mary Poppins, Annie, Ain't Misbehavin, Man of La Mancha, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Disney’s The Little Mermaid. In addition to his rigorous performance schedule, Andy serves as adjunct faculty at Auburn University, is director of the AU Steel Band, teaches privately, conducts clinics, and instructs the percussion programs at Trinity Presbyterian School and Alabama Christian Academy. He also served as an instructor for various indoor lines - including the 2013 WGI and SCGC Independent A World Champions, Brookwood Independent Drumline - and is an alumnus of the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps. He lives in Montgomery with his wife and daughter.
