William Grunewald is a postdoctoral fellow in the ACCEPT lab at Auburn University. Previously, he was a doctoral student in the REDS Lab in the Auburn University clinical psychology program. His research focuses on investigating risk factors for disordered eating, muscle dysmorphia and suicidality in male populations. He additionally is interested in LGBTQ+ health disparities and developing clinical interventions tailored to his research field. His current projects focus on implementing a novel LGBTQ-affirmative eating disorder treatment, testing longitudinal relationships between interoception and muscle dysmorphia symptoms, evaluating outcomes for eating disorders in males and identifying short-term risk for deleterious outcomes in men using ecological momentary assessment.
