About Me

Mr. Haston is a partner and Chair of the Life Sciences Litigation Team with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, a firm with offices in Texas, Washington D.C., and throughout the Southeastern United States. He is a resident of Bradley’s Birmingham office. Over the course of his career, he has had the privilege to represent individuals and organizations based in the United States, Canada, Australia, as well as numerous countries in Europe, Asia and South America. He has served clients as national trial & coordinating counsel as well as a team member for numerous national and international engagements. For this work, he has been recognized for inclusion in Chambers USA, The International Who’s Who of Legal and the Best Lawyers in America. Since 2018, The International Who’s Who Legal has recognized Mr. Haston as a Global Thought Leader in Products Liability.

Mr. Haston is also active in the leadership of several legal and civil justice organizations. He is a past president of the International Association of Defense Counsel, an invitation-only peer-reviewed organization of approximately 2,500 attorneys from more than fifty countries around the world. He recently served as the IADC’s Asian Membership Envoy and as Dean of the IADC Corporate Counsel College. He has served as a member of the DRI Board of Directors, the nation’s largest organization of defense counsel, as well as on the Board of Directors of Lawyers for Civil Justice, an organization comprised of leading corporate counsel and defense bar practitioners dedicated to promotion of fairness in the U.S. civil justice system.

While attending Auburn University, Mr. Haston served as a member of the War Eagle Girls & Plainsman and was selected to be a member of ODK, Mortar Board and Spades honoraries. While attending the University of Alabama’s School of Law, he served on its National Moot Court team and as a Senior Editor to the Alabama Law Review. From 1993-1994, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Judge Emmett Ripley Cox of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
