About Me
Tom Springer joined the Department of Music in fall of 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Virginia Tech and a Master of Music in Education from West Virginia University.
Prior to Auburn, Springer was an academic advisor serving first-year students at Indiana State University. He has spent time in the music industry as a retail manager and print music/band specialist and has over ten years’ experience as a music educator in Virginia, Ohio, and Indiana public schools.
Springer is an active musician, playing horn for the East Alabama Community Band, Auburn University Orchestra, and Auburn Community Orchestra. He enjoys working with local school bands and is a volunteer and occasional pyrotechnician for the Auburn University Marching Band.
