About Me

W. Todd Crutchfield has been a trial attorney in Lee County for 20+ years, with a primary practice of criminal defense. He received his Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Auburn University and his Juris Doctor from Jones School of Law. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (ACDLA), National Alliance of Sentencing Advocates & Mitigation Specialists, National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA), National Association for Public Defense (NAPD), and Lee County Bar Association. He is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States District Court, Middle District of Alabama. He has been named by The National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers.

He is also a certified mitigation specialist and the owner of Redemption Mitigation, which provides penalty phase services and expert mitigation assistance to criminal defense attorneys. Mitigation specialists help provide expert insight into criminal culpability, helping courts to understand a defendant’s mental health or developmental disorders.

His extracurricular activities include:
