About Me

Soren Jordan teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in American institutions (especially Congress and the Presidency), political behavior, and political science research methods. His research focuses on lawmaking in Congress, especially how lawmaking strategies have evolved over time. His research further seeks to uncover whether changing lawmaking strategies systematically affect how representative policy is of constituent interests and whether lawmaking affects Congressional approval. Prior to coming to Auburn in 2016, he was a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University after earning his PhD there in 2015.
