About Me
My interests are in the history of modern philosophy, aesthetics, and social philosophy. Much of my research is about the nature of appearance: how things come to seem or appear as they do, what art can do with appearances, and what this can mean for how we understand ourselves and the world around us. I am also very interested in the way art and aesthetic experience bear on the ways we perceive, think, and find our way in the world. I am also an artist, and I am interested in the relationship between artistic and philosophical ways of thinking.
