A command pilot, Col (ret) Scotty Lewis served in the United States Air Force for 30 years. Colonel Lewis held several leadership positions to include Air Officer Commanding at the Air Force Academy, Squadron Command, Operations Group Command, Air Expeditionary Group Command – Kandahar, Afghanistan, & Vice Wing & Wing Command. In addition, he served on Joint Commands in Korea & Greece. His service included numerous operational weapons systems: F-111s, C-5s, & C-21s. His operational experience includes Operation Just Cause, Operations Desert Storm/Desert Shield, Operation Enduring Freedom, & Operation Iraqi Freedom. His teaching experience includes instructing in numerous aircraft (T-37, C-5, C-21, T-41), Air Officer Commanding at USAFA, as the Director of the Warfighting Department at Air Command & Staff College, & as the Professor for Aerospace Studies at Auburn University.
