Rachael McIntosh brings a Black feminist orientation to archival rhetorics scholarship in order to illuminate how archives are shaped by and perpetuate hegemonic structures and organizational logics that produce systemic inequities. Her research aims to destabilize seemingly innocuous features of archives to harness their rhetorical power and restore subjectivity to people who are often diminished and dehumanized in historical records.
