About Me
John Mitchell received his bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Auburn University in 2007. Upon graduating, Mitchell went to work for the Auburn Network as a video production specialist working on everything from recruiting videos to web features. In 2014, Mitchell continued working for Auburn video when War Eagle Productions was formed. He was the senior editor and producer for the Auburn Football Review, Auburn Football: Every Day and the Auburn Basketball Review. Mitchell worked closely with the Auburn Football and Men’s Basketball teams on social media content and recruiting videos. He now works as an instructional technology specialist in the College of Liberal Arts, working with the School of Communication and Journalism and the Department of Art and Art History. Mitchell manages the video and audio equipment used by the college as well as various other tasks for CLA. He has been married to his wife Jessica since 2013, and they have one son, Evan.
Mitchell currently teaches Sports Storytelling and Video Profiles.
