Jennifer Somers directs the Families: Leveraging Opportunities for Wellbeing and Resilience (FLOWER) Laboratory at Auburn University. She received her PhD from Arizona State University’s Clinical Psychology Program in 2021. Before starting at Auburn, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her program of research primarily focuses on biobehavioral processes that unfold during parent-child dyadic interactions and influence risk for depression and anxiety, for both members of the dyad. Her work has been generously supported by NIMH, NSF, and private foundation grants.
