Jennifer Shawa, CFRE, is a Certified Fund Raising Executive with 22 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Throughout her career, she has personally raised over seven million dollars to advance the mission of nonprofits in Georgia and Alabama.
Since 2001, Ms. Shawa has specialized in helping nonprofits create new development programs from the ground up, building comprehensive fundraising plans by assessing current development structures and setting strategic goals for growth. Her expertise includes special event planning, fundraising, capital campaigns, grant writing, CRM implementation, nonprofit administration, public relations and volunteer management.
Jennifer is the Director of Development at Feeding the Valley Food Bank, and has experience as a nonprofit development consultant, guiding both domestic and international organizations through strategic growth initiatives. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Atlanta Chapter and the Columbus GA Nonprofit Development Meet-Up, which she founded and leads. She serves on the Board of Directors for Fields of Grace Flower Farm (Shiloh, GA) and the Rotary Club of North Columbus. Working in cities across Georgia, she is a graduate of Leadership Macon (Class of 2022), Leadership Troup (Class of 2020), and Leadership Columbus (Class of 2019).
