About Me
Jennifer Shawa, CFRE, is a Certified Fund Raising Executive with more than 23 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. Since 2002, Jennifer has specialized in helping organizations create development programs from the ground up, building comprehensive fundraising plans, strengthening donor engagement, and setting strategic goals for growth.
She currently serves as Chief Development Officer at Feeding the Valley Food Bank, where she leads fundraising initiatives to expand access to nutritious food for families in need. In addition to her leadership at Feeding the Valley, Jennifer has worked as a nonprofit development consultant, guiding both domestic and international organizations through strategic growth initiatives.
Jennifer is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Atlanta Chapter, the Rotary Club of North Columbus, and has founded and led Nonprofit Development Meet-Ups in Columbus, GA (since 2019) and LaGrange, GA (since 2023). She is also a graduate of Leadership Columbus (Class of 2019), Leadership Troup (Class of 2020), and Leadership Macon (Class of 2022).
