About Me

Jeff Donnithorne joined the School of Aviation in January 2026, and currently teaches Theory of Flight (AVMG 2400) and Global Air Transportation Management (AVMG 5180). Prior to his current role, Jeff served in the US Air Force for 25 years, retiring as a Colonel. During his military career, he flew 1200 hours as a Weapons System Officer (WSO) in the F-15E Strike Eagle, and served as a flight instructor in the T-1 Jayhawk at NAS Pensacola, Florida. Jeff spent 9 years on the faculty at Air University (Maxwell AFB, AL), serving as a squadron commander, the Director of the Center for Strategy and Technology, the university’s Chief Academic Officer, and a professor of strategy. He concluded his Air Force career as the Commandant and Dean of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies.
