A practicing attorney, John (Jack) Hopkins served as a judge advocate in the United States Air Force for more than 24 years and attained the rank of Colonel. Colonel Hopkins held several staff positions at the Wing, Numbered Air Force, Major Command, and Combatant Command levels where he advised senior level executives, mid-level managers, individual clients and other legal practitioners on a broad range of domestic, international and operational legal issues. His service included tours as a prosecutor, defense counsel, senior ethics advisor, and course director and instructor at the United States Air Force Academy. Further, he was the General Counsel to senior leaders at three major installations to include Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, where he oversaw four subordinate legal offices.
