About Me
Moving from North Carolina in 2025, Hallie has a BA in Anthropology. While completing her undergraduate degree, Hallie completed multiple archaeological field schools, primarily focused on colonial/civil war era sites, and engaged in a variety of lab work.
During her time in Scotland, Hallie worked with the University of Edinburgh’s Skull Collection —- a collection of over 400 human skulls collected from all over the world, starting in the 1600s. Along with some classmates, she designed an academic style symposium focusing on decolonial thought and theory with the individuals in the collection as the focus titled “Face to Face”.
Hallie received an MScR in Collections and Curating Practices from the University of Edinburgh. Her master’s dissertation was titled, “The Zannanza/Dahamanzu Affair: A Look at the Nibḫuruii̯a.” This research explored the evidence for each possible deceased pharaoh that led to the Egyptian queen, the Dahamunzu, sending a letter to Suppiluliuma I proposing a marriage between herself and one of his sons.
Since coming to Auburn, Hallie has continued to explore her interests in collections management, archaeology, and museum management. She hopes to pursue a PhD in the future.
