Born in Iran, Fereshteh Rostampour is the resident scenic and lighting designer for the Department of Theatre at Auburn University. She has worked as a freelance scenographer for numerous plays, dances, operas, and films internationally. Her work in the area of set, lighting, and projection design has been published and received widespread recognition both nationally and internationally. She has received prestigious juried awards, been selected for juried exhibitions, and been invited to present her work at international venues in the Czech Republic, Wales, Korea, Sweden, Austria, Germany, China and Iran. Her national presence has included participation in conferences, exhibitions and performances in many U.S. cities.
Rostampour is an associate member of OISTAT (International Organization of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians) and serves on the advisory board of Broadway Educators. She holds an MFA in scenography from The Ohio State University.
