W. Dwight Coleman, baritone, is an internationally recognized singer, opera stage director and teacher. He is currently a professor of voice and coordinator of external relations in the School of Music at Georgia State University. He is the executive/stage director of the nationally recognized Harrower Summer Opera Workshop in Atlanta. His international credits include work as lead voice teacher/resident stage director for the Music Anatolia College Summer Festival in Thessaloniki, Greece; voice teacher and master class clinician for the Municipal Conservatory of Drama Summer Program, Greece; resident stage director for the Montefeltro Summer Festival, Italy; lead voice teacher/resident stage director for Lefkas Music July Festival in Lefkada, Greece; and keynote speaker at the Taiwan International Vocal Symposium. Maintaining an active performing career in opera, recital and oratorio, Coleman has performed in Italy, the United States, Austria, Greece, China, Taiwan, Brazil, the Bahamas, Germany and France, and has directed over 100 professional and collegiate operatic productions in the U.S and Europe, including eight world premiers.
