About Me

Danielle Curtis received a dual BA degree in Theatre and Speech Communications from Muskingum (College) University in New Concord, Ohio, which is where her passion for theatrical design began. Due to faculty support and the many opportunities offered to her she found her place in the theatre; her current goal is to afford Auburn students this same opportunity.

After undergrad Danielle attended Michigan State University where she obtained her MFA in Production Design. She spent two years at The Ohio Light Opera in Wooster Ohio as a Scenic Artist/Electrician and as a Lighting Designer. Danielle spent time in NYC as a spotlight operator, electrician, scenic painter, and Lighting Designer at many off-Broadway and off-off- Broadway theatres such as Playwrights Horizons, Dodgers Stages, The Red Room, The Puerto Rican Theatre, and the American Girl Theatre.

Danielle began her teaching career in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, at Lees-McRae College. After many years of teaching, Danielle moved into administration serving as the Director of Theatre Arts and the Associate Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Education. Most recently, Danielle was the Production Manager for the College of Fine Arts and Kirkland Fine Arts Center at Millikin University in Central Illinois where she worked with STOMP, Nick Offerman, Janelle James, Artrageous, and All-4-One.

Danielle is a member of the United States Institute of Technology, loves to travel, and considers herself a foodie.
