Connor Kopchick is a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Auburn University. His research focuses on transnational repression, or the process in which (usually) authoritarian governments target their nationals for repression, when those nationals are outside of their territorial borders. Beyond this he is interested in the ways in which diasporas and other transnational social movements appeal for outside support during instances of repression and/or contentious political situations. Dr. Kopchick currently teaches courses on global issues and the comparative politics of the Middle East.
