About Me
Bobby’s professional background integrates his experience in the music industry with nearly three decades of legal practice. He began his career as a performing musician and subsequently assumed strategic management roles within the music business. In these capacities, he oversaw budgeting, advancing, and other aspects of concert touring operations, coordinated merchandising initiatives, and collaborated with major record labels and producers. His firsthand engagement with the artistic, management, legal, and logistical dimensions of the music business gives him a unique perspective on the commercial dynamics of creative industries.
After transitioning into the legal profession, Bobby established a distinguished career as a transaction attorney with a primary focus on commercial real estate development and financing transactions. Bobby has been recognized by Best Lawyers® in the area of Real Estate Law every year since 2018 and was recently named 2026 “Lawyer of the Year” in Real Estate Law for the Montgomery, Alabama Metro Area. He is also a fellow with the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. Additionally, he advises clients in the music business in negotiating agreements relating to recording, performances, songwriting, and other entertainment endeavors, offering insight informed by his earlier industry roles. In the classroom, Bobby draws upon his multidisciplinary background to offer students a nuanced understanding of business transactions, legal frameworks, and the intersection of creativity and commerce
