Adam J. Hogan is an assistant professor in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at Auburn University. Prior to obtaining his Ph.D., Dr. Hogan worked as a school-based speech-language pathologist and assistive technology support specialist in Louisiana and Texas. His primary research interest concerns the aspects of speech which contribute to communication breakdowns. He is particularly interested in uncovering the differences between the speech produced by monolingual and bilingual English speakers and how those differences are perceived by native and second-language learners of English.
