About Me
Jonathan Seifried is an instructor in the School of Communication and Journalism at Auburn University. He received his bachelor’s degree in public relations from Auburn as well as his master’s degree in communication. Seifried has been teaching public speaking and general communication courses since 2004 in traditional classroom and online settings at both Auburn University and Southern Union State Community College.
In addition to his academic interests, Seifried has extensive experience in the private sector. He has served as a communication consultant to political candidates across Alabama where he has developed and implemented communication strategies for campaigns. Additionally, he has more than a decade of experience in the software development industry where he has overseen operations, business development, communication strategy, and project management activities associated with multi-million-dollar government software contracts. In addition to his academic credentials, Seifried earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and also teaches the yearly PMP exam boot camp for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
