New Features in Canvas: Draft State
This new feature gives you greater control over what your students will be able to see -- especially important at the beginning of a course, when you may not have everything perfectly laid out for the second half of the term.
Please review this note from the IMG with links to some of their new resources:
Draft state will become the default setting in Canvas after the update scheduled to occur this weekend, July 12 – 13, 2014.
Draft State allows you to publish certain elements of course when you're ready. You’ll have more control over your assignments, pages, discussions, quizzes, and modules. For example, if you want to create a module but prevent students from accessing it, you can leave it unpublished (in a draft state) until you are ready to release it to students.
